Project History
The HealthSchemes.com project was inspired by my PhD thesis on measuring health systems and its impacts on health outcomes. Using evidence-based data and regression models, I and my colleagues from the University of Queensland in Australia study how much various healthcare models actually translate to reduced child mortality and morbidities, including lowered prevelance of non-communicable diseases (i.e., cancer, diabetes, heart disease).
Motivated to encourage more people to join us in this endeavour, I created this blog/website that hopes to make more people aware of the various health system options available and move them to be more involved with us in determining its strengths and weaknesses. In doing so, we look forward to see what works and doesn't work and inform service providers as well as policymakers with these significant findings.
